How can I import my historic data into POINT from my previous platform?

New to POINT and need to import your info? There are a few simple ways to get your data over to the platform.

How to mass import volunteer information and historic hours via CSV:

Our team can handle the mass data import for you! With the free Core subscription, there's a data import fee starting at $300. However, with the paid Pro subscription, data imports are included at no extra cost, along with priority support.

How to manually add volunteer information (see video below):

To manually add volunteer info, simply update the volunteer's contact record directly in your dashboard. 

  1. In your admin dashboard, go to "People" and click on "Contacts." From there, you can  create a new contact record .
  2. In the "Add New Contact" form,you can start adding the volunteer's information, including address, phone number, date of birth, and other relevant details.
  3. Before adding the contact, you can choose to either create the contact only or send an invitation for them to join your organization. Here's some information about join status to help you decide which option is best for you.
  4. Click the orange "Add Contact" button to save the volunteer's information you've entered.

How to manually add historic hours to a volunteer:

Under "Tracking," you can use the "Hours" tab to add hours to a volunteer as an admin. Follow the instructions provided to add hours for a volunteer.
