How do you set up volunteer notifications?

You can choose which notifications you want to receive by turning them on. Currently, the only available notification is the event start reminder. By default, all notifications are enabled. 


To receive push notifications, ensure you have the POINT mobile app installed and are registered and signed in. Allow notifications from the POINT app on your mobile device to stay updated on all the latest information.

Setting up notifications in the web version:

1. On the volunteer view dashboard please navigate to the Notifications page.
2. Find the "Notification Settings" button in the upper right corner and click on it. 
3. Decide what volunteer notifications you receive from POINT. To receive a notification turn it "on" or to stop receiving a notification turn it "off".

Emails:

  • One Week
    Receive email reminder about event one week before event starts.
  • One Day
    Receive email reminder about event one day before event starts.

 

Push notifications:

  • One Hour
    Receive push reminder about event one hour before event starts.

 

Setting up notifications in the Mobile app: 

1. Log in to the POINT mobile app and go to your Profile page. 
2. Click on the settings button in the upper right corner. 
3. Select the option “Notification Settings”
