Court Mandated or Ordered Volunteer Hours (Court-Ordered Community Service)

POINT makes it easy to track and validate volunteer hours for many types of volunteers—including those completing court-mandated community service. However, each nonprofit decides independently whether it accepts volunteers fulfilling court-ordered requirements.

Can I complete court-ordered volunteer hours through POINT?

It depends. POINT does not determine eligibility for court-mandated service—each nonprofit on our platform chooses whether or not to accept court-ordered volunteers.

If you need to complete court-ordered community service:
  • Search for volunteer opportunities that match your interests or availability.
  • Contact the nonprofit directly to ask if they accept court-ordered service. You can:
    • Reach out to the event coordinator listed on the opportunity, or
    • Use the contact information provided in the "About" section of the nonprofit’s profile.

We recommend reaching out before signing up to ensure the nonprofit accepts court-ordered hours and can verify them appropriately for your court, parole officer, or legal requirement.

How do I track and export a record of my volunteer hours?

All volunteers using POINT—including students and those with court-mandated service—can easily track and export their hours.
