What is event co-hosting?

When you co-host an event all co-hosting organizations can edit the event, manage volunteer signups/check-ins, recruit volunteers, access event stats, and integrate overall stats for their organization.

Co-hosting makes it easy for schools, businesses, and other community organizations to coordinate and host volunteering events with nonprofit partners. Co-hosted volunteer events could be a fundraiser, annual event, walk/run, private corporate volunteer event, etc. — anything where a nonprofit is partnering with at least one other organization to recruit or help manage volunteers.

The event creator and all listed co-hosts are able to edit the event details. You can always edit your event to add or delete co-hosts. Please be specific in what volunteers can expect to do, and anything they may need to bring/wear.

*Note: All hosts are notified if another host makes an edit to the event.

When should I use a co-hosted event?

Co-hosting is ideal for events that have already been planned and collaborated on by partners. To create an event on POINT, fill out all the necessary details, and add a co-host. By adding a co-host, you can invite existing POINT users from both organizations and source more volunteers if required. This feature enables all co-hosting organizations to edit the event, manage volunteer signups, access event stats, and integrate overall stats for their organization.
