What are the types of Network Permissions?

Open Network:

Any organization can request to be part of your network. You will be able to approve or deny requests. This network affiliation will be shown on the organization's profile.

  • This is great for organizations like local governments. Nonprofits, businesses, schools, and more can request to join your network. Now you can enable massive local collaboration which is ideal on a day-to-day basis, but absolutely crucial in times of disaster.

Closed Network:

Only organizations you invite can join this network. This network affiliation will be shown on the organization's profile for anyone who joins.

  • This is great for organizations like corporations with multiple branches, or large nonprofits with many chapters. Your Network will only include your own organizations.

Secure Network:

Only organizations you invite can join this network. This network affiliation will not be shown on any profile.

Account Permissions:

Network account owners can select varying levels of access for the data they can see for each organization that joins the network. This setting will apply to ALL organizations in the network, and must be granted by the organization owner before they can join the network. No matter what, every network account owner will see de-identified, aggregated, network-wide data.

Note: If a network is dissolved, every organization in the network will retain their POINT account.
