      Unclaim a Contact Profile

      If a Contact Record is linked to a Volunteer Profile, then Admins have the option to unclaim the Volunteer Profile

      Once unclaimed, the volunteer activity of the contact and volunteer will be recorded separately.

      When this happens, then the Contact record still exists in the organization's account, and the Volunteer no longer has any link to the contact record.

      How you can Unclaim a Contact Profile

      1. Go to the contact profile
      2. Hit “Actions” in the upper right hand corner, and select "Unlink"
      3. The result of the "Unclaim" action
        1. the contact with the status "Unclaimed" remains in the organization
        2. the user is no longer connected to the organization.

      If the user signed up to an event before "Unclaim" and the attendance status is changed after "Unclaim". We will still notify the user about the change in event status.
