How does a volunteer share opportunities?

Want to share an opportunity so a friend or family member can sign up? See how to share events below!

 

There are two primary ways to share:

1. Sharing Opportunities via the Web Platform

When viewing the platform in a desktop or mobile browser, the sharing options are located directly on the event details page.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the specific Event Details Page of the opportunity you wish to share.

  2. Scroll down to the sharing section (usually located on the right-hand side).

  3. You can then choose one of the following methods:

    • Copy Link: Copy and paste the unique opportunity link directly into any messaging app or document.

    • Social Media Icons: Select the corresponding icon to share directly to Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, or via Email.

    2. Sharing Opportunities via the Mobile App

    The sharing function in the mobile app is integrated directly into the navigation bar for quick access.

    Steps:

    1. Open the POINT Mobile App and navigate to the Event Details Page for the opportunity.

    2. Look for the Share icon (usually represented by an arrow pointing out of a box or three connected dots) located in the top right corner of the screen.

    3. Tapping the Share icon will display the "Share" popup with several options:

      • Facebook

      • LinkedIn

      • X (Twitter)

      • Copy (to copy the link to your clipboard)

    This allows volunteers to quickly spread the word and help organizations recruit more support!
