How does a volunteer claim their POINT account, after invited by a nonprofit?

Looking to claim the invite your nonprofit sent you to join their org? You can either create your volunteer account when you accept or you can easily accept the invite if you already created your own account. Follow the instructions below!

How does a volunteer claim and create their POINT account (see video below):

  1. In your inbox, you'll see an email that says org's name is invites you to POINT. Click the orange button in the email that says "Create my POINT account". 
  2. This will take you to create your personal account with your first and last name, email, and a password of your choice. Don't forget to read through the terms and conditions and check the box to confirm.
  3. Once you're in, on your homepage you'll see the invite from the org. Click the "Accept" button and you're all set!

  1. In your inbox, you'll see an email that says org's name is invites you to POINT. Click the orange button in the email that says "Accept invitation in POINT".

  2. This will take you to the volunteer dashboard, where you will need to login into your POINT account.
  3. Once you login, you'll be taken to the "My Organizations" tab where you'll see the invite from the org.
  4. Click on the orange "Accept" button to join the org and you're all set!
