1. Before signing up for an event, minor volunteers are required to input the email address of a parent or guardian. Please enter the parent's email in the field labeled “Send this waiver to my parent/guardian.”
2. An email containing the waiver will be sent to the designated parental email address. The parent or guardian can conveniently sign the waiver directly from their email. They will receive a letter titled “Please sign the volunteer waiver,” which includes all the relevant details of the waiver. To complete the process, the parent simply needs to click the “I agree to the terms of this waiver” button.
The event admin will automatically see the waiver approval in the system.
How does a minor volunteer fill out an application with a waiver?
1. In order to approve the waiver, the minor volunteer must provide a parent/guardian email when filling out the application.
2. Accordingly, the waiver will be sent to the specified parent/guardian email. The recipient will be able to approve the waiver directly through the email by clicking the “I agree to the terms of this waiver” button in the email (an example of an email is shown above).
How do I register for an event that requires a waiver with minors?
1. When registering for an event, you will encounter an additional step, "Bring more volunteers with you", offering the option of Additional children 8-17 (maximum of 3 guests).
2. When you've filled in the First Name, Last Name, Birthday, and other information required by the event. The next step is to choose how to approve the waiver.
- I am a parent or guardian and agree to the terms of this waiver.
- Send this waiver to their parent/guardian.
3. If you select the option “Send this waiver to their parents/guardians.”, you must provide the email address of the parents or guardians. This ensures that the system can automatically send the waiver letter to the designated email address for review and approval.
