      How does Guest Registration work for an event?

      You have the option to allow your volunteers to register for the event along with their guests. Guests are categorized into adults and children/minor guests, which helps streamline the guest registration process while meeting event requirements like waivers and background checks.
      For example: a volunteer plans to join an event with a friend who doesn't have a registered POINT account yet. There are also cases where parents are looking for events where they can easily sing up their child with them.

      How to add guest registration for an event?


      To get started, start by creating your event and then go to the "Registration Process" where you can select "Guest Registration" at the bottom.
      1. If you want to allow volunteers to bring adult guests (18+) to the event,  turn on the following option: "Allow volunteers to bring adult guests". Then, set your limit for : "Maximum number of additional adult guests per registration"

      2. If you want to allow volunteers to bring children/minor (17 and under) to the event,  turn on the following option:  "Allow volunteers to bring children/minor (17 and under)"
      You'll need to include:
      • Maximum number of minor guests per adult registration
      •  Minimum age requirement for a children/minor guest
      • The age that counts for minors filling a spot
         

      For instance, if you indicate that guests can be registered starting from the age of 7, and then specify that children aged 12 and above will occupy a spot at the event, this means that children between the ages of 7 and 12 can be registered but will not count towards the event's capacity.

      How do I check the list of guests who have registered for the event?


      The event details section under volunteer registration will provide you with the list of guests.

      When a guest is signed up for the event, a new unclaimed contact record is created in the organization's database. This record contains all the profile details provided by the volunteer when registering the guest for the event.
