You can easily add new events to an existing series of Ongoing events while maintaining the set schedule and frequency.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access the Event Series:
Go to the details page of the existing series of recurring events you wish to extend.
2. Open the Editor:
In the top-right corner of the page, click the "Actions" button.
From the dropdown menu, select "Edit this and all following dates.
3. Extend the Series:
When editing the event series, navigate to the "Where & When" step.
Scroll down to find the "Repeat Settings" section.
You will see two interdependent options for extending your series:
"Events to Add": Enter the number of new events you wish to add. The system will automatically calculate the new end date based on your event's frequency.
"Until the end date of": Select a new end date. The system will automatically calculate the number of new events to be added to the series based on this date.
4. Manage Specific Dates (Optional):
The system will schematically display an example of the new series of dates below these options. You can click on any specific date in this list to manually exclude it from the series.
5. Update and Publish:
Once you are satisfied with the new settings, click the "Update" button. This action will publish the new events in the series, making them visible to volunteers.
