Funraise Integration
Send POINT volunteer activity to Funraise for richer fundraising insights, and add your Funraise "Donate" button directly to your organization's POINT page.
How does the Funraise + POINT integration work?
This integration helps Funraise clients understand the contributions of volunteers alongside those of donors, so you can build momentum for both kinds of giving in one place. POINT transfers volunteer activity into your Funraise system, and you can also embed a Funraise-hosted donate button on your organization's POINT profile.

How do I set up the Funraise integration?
- Sign in to the POINT Admin Dashboard click Organization in the left menu and select "Integrations"
- Find the Funraise Integration option and select “View”

3. First, connect to Funraise using the API Key, and then you can add your Funraise “Donate” button to your organization's POINT page.

To get the API Key, you need to go to the Settings page in your Funraise account. https://platform.funraise.io/settings/api-keys
Generate an API key. It is recommended to copy it immediately and paste it into the POINT field.

What volunteer information is transferred to Funraise?
When the integration is active, POINT sends the following supporter data to Funraise:
- Contact information (email, name)
- Lifetime volunteer hours
- Date of last volunteering activity
- Permanent link to the volunteer's POINT profile
- Email Communication Opt In — whether the volunteer has agreed to receive email communications
- SMS Communication Opt In — whether the volunteer has agreed to receive SMS communications
The opt-in fields are passed through to Funraise so your team can respect each supporter's communication preferences across both platforms.
Note: Both Email Communication Opt In and SMS Communication Opt In are currently enabled (set to true) by default for all volunteers. This means that, unless a volunteer has explicitly opted out, these fields will be transferred to Funraise as true.
How can I find volunteer activity for the transferred contacts in Funraise?
Once a volunteer's record is synced, you can find them in Funraise as a supporter. Their POINT volunteer activity will appear on their profile, and you can use the permanent POINT profile link to jump back to their full volunteer history at any time.
Adding the Funraise "Donate" button to your POINT page
- Toggle Yes next to Add Funraise "Donate" button to your POINT page? to display the donate button on your public POINT profile.
- Once the toggle is enabled, a Donation button dropdown will appear below it. Open the dropdown and select the Funraise donation form you want to link to the button (for example, General Donations). The selected form is what volunteers will be taken to when they click the donate button on your POINT page. The dropdown is populated automatically with the donation forms available in your connected Funraise account. If you don't see the form you need, make sure it has been created and published in Funraise, then refresh the page.
