How to switch between Admin and Volunteer View

In POINT, your account gives you access to both an Admin View (where you manage your organization) and a Volunteer View (your personal volunteer dashboard). You can switch between them at any time, from any page.

📝 Note: The Admin View is only available on the desktop version or in a web browser. The POINT mobile app shows the Volunteer View only.

Where to find the switch

The switch is in the top-right corner of your dashboard, in the dropdown menu under your name and avatar.

The same dropdown also lets you open Manage Account (where you update your profile, email, and password) and Log out.

💡 Tip: The dropdown shows only the relevant switch option for your current view. If you're in the Admin View, you'll see "Switch to Volunteer View." If you're in the Volunteer View, you'll see "Switch to Admin View."

 

How to switch from Admin to Volunteer View

  1. In the top-right corner of your admin dashboard, click your name (or the arrow next to your avatar).
  2. From the dropdown menu, select Switch to Volunteer View.
  3. You'll be redirected to your personal volunteer dashboard.

How to switch from Volunteer to Admin View

  1. In the top-right corner of your volunteer dashboard, click your name (or the arrow next to your avatar).
  2. From the dropdown menu, select Switch to Admin View.
  3. You'll be taken to the Select an Account page (also called My Organizations), where you'll see all the organizations and networks you have access to.
  4. Click the organization card you want to manage. You'll be taken to its admin dashboard.

How to switch from the Manage Account page

The Manage Account page is shared between Admin and Volunteer Views. When you're on this page, both switch options appear in the top-right dropdown:

  • Switch to Volunteer View: returns you to your volunteer dashboard.
  • Switch to Admin View: takes you to the admin dashboard.

This is useful when you're updating your profile or settings and want to go directly to a specific view afterward.
