How to Set Up the Programs Website Widget

You can now showcase your volunteer programs directly on your own website! Our new Programs Widget generates a custom embed code, allowing you to display your POINT programs seamlessly on your site and attract more volunteers.

 

Important Note: The widget will only display programs that have the "Show on POINT Page" toggle set to "Yes" in your program settings.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to generate your widget code

Step 1: Locate the Widget Tool
Navigate to the left-hand menu on your admin dashboard. Go to Recruitment Tools > Website Widget: Programs and click the "View" button.
 

Step 2: Create the Embed Code
Once you are on the widget page, locate and click the orange "+ Create Embed Code" button.

Step 3: Customize Your Widget Settings
A settings popup will appear. Here, you can customize exactly how your widget behaves:

  • Iframe Name: Give your widget a recognizable name (this is for your internal tracking only).

  • Choose Programs: Select exactly which programs you want to display in this specific widget.

  • Number of programs on a page: Set how many program tiles should load at once before a user needs to click to see more.

Step 4: Copy and Embed
Once you have configured your settings and generated the widget, simply click to Copy the Embed Code.

Finally, paste this code into your website's backend (specifically into an HTML, Embed, or iframe block) to start displaying your programs to the world!
