How to add a Leader to a program

Learn how to add a Leader to a program in POINT — an organizational tag for contacts that does not grant admin access.

Leaders let you tag a contact as a point person for a program, for organizational purposes. This role does not grant any admin access or permissions. If you need to give someone actual admin rights over a program, see What can a Program Coordinator do in POINT instead.

How to add a Leader to a program

  1. In the left menu, click Organization, then select Programs.
  2. Find the program you want to update and click it to open the Program Details page.
  3. Open the Leaders tab.
  4. Click + Add Leader to Program.

  5. Search for the contact by name or email and check the box next to their name.

  6. Click Add. The contact now appears in the Leaders list for this program.

📝 Note: Leaders are for organizational purposes only. This role does not grant any admin access or permissions

Leader vs. Program Coordinator — what's the difference?

  • Leader: a visual tag on a contact within a program. Useful for identifying who leads or represents a program internally — no dashboard access is granted.
  • Program Coordinator: an actual admin role (available on the Teams plan) that gives someone real permissions to manage a specific program — events, contacts, and reporting for that program. To assign this role, go to Organization → Team and invite or edit a teammate's role. Learn more in What can a Program Coordinator do in POINT.
